Not a surprising recommendation, but for a non-casual enjoyer attempting to navigate the 30 minutes of waiting to taste satisfaction ratio I have some thoughts 💭!
My favorite taco is an Al Pastor taco on a weekday before 6pm. The Al Pastor taco is incredibly juicy and lush, however on a weekend that the juice is lost. If you are resigned to a long Friday onwards wait time- skip the Al pastor. Save it for 1pm on a Wednesday. For a weekend enjoyment the Campechano is the best, and if you can get it the Tripa ❤️
A similar feeling extends to the Consomé. If it has received a loving and not rushed mix, it is incredibly yummy. However on a weekend rush you risk a bit too much oil.
All together Taqueria Ramirez remains to be a consistent Greenpoint recommendation to all, these notes are for those who have emotional reactions to quality control. I’m incredibly excited for the football bar opening soon… 👀
